Project Statement
The editorial page briefly explains the work and biography of famous artists. The single-page articles needed visually compelling 8.5x11 prints that are designed distinctly but also harmonious when compared side by side.
This approach to designing the editorial pages by having the layout focus on a picture of the artist that best communicates the contents of their work. This made each page have a common visual pattern of focusing on the artists' picture rather than their art which are all visually different.
To make each page look distinct, I applied a different method of layout hierarchy. Each page follows different principles of arranging the contents of the articles; linear, radial, and grid design.
