Project Statement
Created in collaboration with Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport, this hand-pulled screen print series welcomes travelers by celebrating the city’s authentic social culture. Grounded in my personal experience of building community across Milwaukee’s iconic bar scene, the design features a quote from local film critic Mike Stoklasa: "Milwaukee has more bars per capita, one bar for every one people." The piece uses bold typography and traditional printmaking techniques to give incoming visitors and returning locals an affectionate, humorous taste of the city's unique identity.
